Be bold in prayer but then be silent and listen for God’s reply. While my father was in hospital suffering from cancer I prayed for healing. After several weeks I began meditating before a dancing flame of a June Wink oil lamp. God’s silent reply was to pray for father’s comfort and he was taken Home ending his suffering forever.
