Thank you Rev. Hopson for this meditation. When I awoke this morning this very Bible quote was in my head. I was thinking of the class I would teach in the Fall. All of the new class would be my neighbors, and I would love them more than I love myself. The last class I taught gave very hurtful and ugly comments for me to read. I was kind to them all Semester, however my kindness did not show in their comments. Some of the comments were warranted and some were not. I have discussed them with my supervisor, and He just laughed and told me I was not “fired”. Since then, I have considered quitting. The truth is, I love people, all people, even those who hurt me. I found a blessing when I read what you wrote, because I plan to teach again with a loving heart.

Thanks so much for the “40 Day Walk”. They have all been inspirational, and mean even more as I have recognized the names of so many brothers and sisters in Faith who are the authors.
