As a companion to the forty day prayer guide, “40 Day Walk with God,” that every United Methodist congregation in the Tennessee and Memphis Conferences is being invited to engage during the season of preparation for Annual Conference, pastors are also encouraged to consider utilizing a related preaching series.   Each of the prayer meditations in the prayer guide (which will soon be available electronically through the conference website and each district office) are written around one of four topics, as they relate to the mission of the Nashville area which is stated as follows:

 

The mission of the Nashville Area is to discover, equip, connect and send lay and clergy leaders who shape congregations that

offer Jesus Christ to a hurting world,

one neighborhood at a time.
