Thanks to all for the prayers…
Posted: February 25, 2014 Filed under: Bishop's Blog 33 CommentsDear friends,
I was pleased to join with over 200 pilgrims for 9 days in the Holy Land. It was a glorious experience connecting with the 5th Gospel — the Land. Unfortunately, I fell at one of the sites and fractured two ribs. I was briefly hospitalized for observation and I am flying home today. Lynn and I thank all of you for the many prayers that have been offered for this pilgrimage and for my healing.
Bishop Bill McAlilly
Blessings on you as you continue to heal. We are keeping you in our prayers.
Dr Tom Binford
Bishop I am sorry for your accident and hope you are doing well. God bless you and your family.
Bishop McAlilly, my prayers are with you for your continued healing. The church family here at Wesley Chapel in Spring Hill lifts you up as well. Take time to rest. God’s healing power is awesome! Although your time in the Holy Land was cut short, your presence and participation was a blessing to us all. Grace and peace to you and Lynn,
Deborah Owens
Bishop McAlilly we in the Mclemoresville UMC are praying for complete recovery for you the pilgramage and the work you are doing in the name of Jesus Christ May God Continue to bless

Thank you for your participation and support in our Nashville Area’s first Episcopal-led Holy Land Pilgrimage. Your’s and Lynn’s presence and gracious participation made this visit to the Holy Land an even more memorable experience for all of us, even though shortened by your unfortunate fall.
May our prayers throughout the Nashville Area continue to bring healing for your complete recovery! Grace and Peace! Randall And Brenda Ganues
I trust everything went well on your return flight. I was able to get home in time for my sister’s funeral. I regretted leaving the tour early. It was a wonderful experience. I will never forget our two boats lashed together and your message that morning on the Sea of Galilee. Thank you for yours and Lynn’s kind words at the loss of my sister. My prayers continue for your full and rapid recovery. Vida
May God’s Presence surround you and ease your pain. Fractured ribs are no fun because you have to move them to breathe. You are in my prayers.
Bishop, Take care and God bless.
So sorry to hear of our accident. Prayers for healing and a safe trip home
Bishop, I was sorry to hear about your accident. One thing I learned about my journeys to the Holy Land was that the land our Lord traveled while on this earth was not an easy one. Although you certainly wouldn’t have chosen this painful injury to occur, it will probably serve as reminder for some time to come that there is nothing easy about trying to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. But, that doesn’t stop us from picking up our cross daily and trying our best to be faithful. I’m sending prayers of healing on your behalf to God’s throne of grace.
So sorry for your fall…..Prayers for healing and strong recovery!
Susan Sharpe
Best wishes for a complete recovery!

Bishop McAllily, I am so very sorry to hear of your mishap. May God continue his healing power over your body.
As our congregation in Shelbyville gathers tomorrow night (Wed.) we will lift a special prayer of appeal that God will mend and heal you quickly. May your primary memory of your pilgrimage to the Holy Land, not be the fall you took, but the spiritual gifts you received. May God bless you in every good way.
I have been praying for you since you became Bishop and will add this little mishap to my prayers. Be safe in your journey home and beyond.
